UK Last Frost Risk Planner
See an approximate spring frost-risk period and suggested steps before moving tender plants outdoors.
How to use this tool
UK region/location category; optional local elevation/shelter; selected crop. Check the units and use measurements from the growing space or instructions for your actual crop or product.
What the result means
Approximate local-risk window, forecast checklist and plant protection advice. The result follows the inputs you provide; it does not replace inspection of your plants or the relevant product label.
Worked example
If your spring reference date is 15 May and you choose a 14-day buffer, the review date is 29 May. For an autumn reference of 15 October, a 14-day preparation buffer gives 1 October. These calculations organise a plan; neither certifies frost safety.
Assumptions and limitations
Never claim an exact guaranteed last frost date; verify live forecast yourself. This tool uses explicit arithmetic and your inputs; it does not connect to weather, location, product or soil databases.
Label all region windows as estimates from identified source data; optional user provided date.
